Hardware Maintenance

Just like your car, windows and doors require routine maintenance to ensure they are working correctly and also to increase the lifespan of the moving parts.

Hinges, handles and locking systems can be cleaned with soapy water and a sponge and you need to make sure all detergent has been rinsed off and dried before lubricating.

After the hardware has been cleaned and dried it must be lubricated to restore the smooth operation.

There are a number of commercially available care products but we would use WD40 ourselves and provides great results and care.
